Hi! I'm John (Johnny for short) and a very warm welcome to my website. I'm a rural and countryside photographer based in South Lincolnshire and I'm usually found at a local Equestrian Centre with a camera stuck to my face. We live in a farming community and our daughters lives revolve horses and sport so it's these aspects of our lives that I focus my work on as a photographer.
So what do you take photos of?
Horses, mainly.
Wonderful creatures, probably should ride one at some point but I'm usually too busy snapping pics of them. More to the point, though, I love the relationship between ponies and people. Both of our daughters have ridden and the youngest basically lives at the stables; it never ceases to amaze me how horses bring something beautiful to the lives of those around them.
The bond they share with their people is amazing and came completely out of the blue for us; if you haven't found your thing in life yet then try horses, it's probably that.

Dressage and Showjumping
I regularly cover riding lessons as well as events at local Equestrian Centres, these events really show off the bonds that are made between a horse and rider in the best possible ways.
I love to cover stable time and the moments behind the scenes, but this is where the real magic happens. When you see a horse and rider nail a dressage test or take their first clear round of jumps together, that's pretty special.

Yes, but don't forget the dogs...
There's something amazing about seeing a working dog in action, especially when you see the hours of training that go into a seemingly simple retrieval.
Dogs are our best companions in this world and whether we're capturing pets or working dogs doing what they do best there is something wonderful about seeing them in their favourite places having the time of their lives.

Agricultural and Landscape
I like to do general countryside bits and bobs, we have a puppy who doesn't recognise me without a camera, farm machinery, lots of rural stuff and that's where I'm happiest.
When I get the chance I'll pop out and try and snap the sunrise too. I tend to prefer the sunrise to sunsets but I love both really, who doesn't?

Because ultimately that's what photography is about. Nothing to do with me, my cameras, my interests, none of that is as important as helping you tell your story - here are our friends getting engaged!
Our stories are who we are. They prove we lived, they show we loved, and they're the memories we will cherish and keep in years to come.
